Lecture: The Dog’s Emotions, Behavior, and Communication

Welcome to a lecture on how to strengthen the bond with your four-legged friend by understanding and responding to your dog’s emotions. Your ability to interpret your dog’s body language is crucial for maintaining a healthy and harmonious relationship. Your dog communicates with you in its own way—it’s up to you to listen and respond appropriately. During this evening, we will dive into the emotional world of dogs and explore what they’re trying to tell us. We’ll look at the various signals and behaviors they exhibit, and how these reflect their inner feelings and needs. By becoming more aware of these signals, you’ll be better equipped to understand what your dog is trying to communicate, and in turn, build an even stronger bond with them. New research continues to uncover subtle “nuances” in canine communication. Did you know, for example, that your dog wags its tail to the right when it’s happy, but to the left when it’s sad or angry? This is just one of many fascinating insights we’ll explore during the lecture. Whether you’re an experienced dog owner or simply curious about the topic, you’re warmly welcome.
